Industrial parks
How about a location near the birthplace of industry, at the port, or near the airport?
Built in the late 19th century, Karhula Industrial Park is our oldest industrial park, kick-starting industrialisation in the Kotka-Hamina region. Former plants in the Karhula Industrial Park include a foundry and glass factory. Providing work for some 2,000 people, the park is currently home to logistics, security and maintenance companies, among others.
The Port of HaminaKotka is not only Finland’s largest general port, it is also an excellent business location for industrial companies that require smooth logistics, a sea connection to the world, and rail and road connections to elsewhere in Finland and to Russia and Asia.
We are excited about our latest industrial park, which will be Finland’s newest airport, Helsinki-East, in Pyhtää, in the western part of our region. This will be an excellent location for emerging aviation technology research, companies and support functions.
If you’re interested in any of these areas, don’t hesitate to contact us. We also have other excellent locations for businesses moving to the Kotka-Hamina region.
