Paksuniemi

Lots of vacant areas, marked in the master plan for industrial activities, connected to Finland’s largest port. A large rock-based area for industry is located inside the port area, where both road and railway connections are already in place in the immediate vicinity of the area.

The services offered in the port area of Hamina are related to, for example, logistics, security and energy connections. (Plenty of electricity, natural gas, LNG, lots of water, drainage to the municipal network).

Adjacent to a major chemical industry cluster, which also offers opportunities for cooperation.

There are more than 80 companies operating within the area of the Port of HaminaKotka, many of them international. There are more than 2,000 jobs in the area. The Port of Hamina is located about four kilometres southwest of the city centre.

In addition to maritime connections, the port has good road and railway connections. There are business areas vacant within the area of the port, ranging from about 1 to 10 ha in size, as well as considerable opportunities for expansion in the direction of Paksuniemi.
